Schoology for Students

Used by teachers to publish information on how to access classes during remote learning, classroom assignments, homework assignments, and other relevant information.

Schoology Login Instructions

  1. Open a web browser (e.g. Chrome)
  2. To login to Schoology, as a student, go to d187.schoology.com
  3. If prompted, click on your school email account
  4. If prompted, enter your school email password (this is the same as your password to login to the Chromebook)

Clever

Is where our students go to access all their online educational technology resources (apps), such as Achieve3000.

Clever Login Instructions

  1. Open a web browser (e.g. Chrome)
  2. Go to clever.com
  3. On the top right, click log in as a student
  4. Where it says “Search for your school” enter: “Neal Math” a. Click on “Neal Math & Science Academy, North Chicago Community Unit School District 187, IL”
  5. A new page will open automatically
  6. Click on “Log in with Google”
  7. Choose your school email account if you are asked which email to use
  8. Click on the app that you want to work with (Gmail, Achieve3000, ST Math, etc.)

Online Resources in Clever

  • Achieve3000 – provides resources at student’s individual reading level to improve their reading skills. At Neal, we expect our students to complete at least two reading assignments per week and achieve a score of 75% or higher on associated quizzes.
  • ST Math – ST Math is a visual instructional program that builds a deep conceptual understanding of math through rigorous learning and creative problem solving to engage, motivate and challenge PreK-8 students toward higher achievement. Students should complete at least 30-50 puzzles each week, as well as spend at least 90 minutes in the program.
  • Edgenuity – provides targeted instruction for students at their individual reading and math level to improve their skills in these areas. Students are assigned an individual learning path which they should complete each semester.
  • Imagine Learning – helps PreK–8 students read, write, speak and understand the language of learning, teaching the skills needed to achieve reading proficiency and academic success.
  • Students login to Imagine Learning using a badge, which they receive from their teacher.
  • Discovery Education – is used in our Science classes and provided online content to help students understand different concepts in Science and STEM.
  • Flocabulary – is a learning program for all grades that uses educational hip-hop music to engage students and increase achievement across the curriculum.
  • Xello – online program that gives students everything they need to help them build the skills and knowledge to create actionable plans for college and career success
